A huge component of success in the real estate industry is the ability to work well with people and anticipate their needs. The same can be said for the hospitality industry, which is precisely where Marielos Baltodano Sann honed her customer service & logistic skills. After earning her graduate degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Hotel Management, she worked in direct customer service and management positions, for over 15 years in the hotel industry, including known hotel brands around the world. She gained her expertise in building connections, multitasking, attending to details & got used to unusual working schedules.
Eventually, Marielos professional career took a switch and ventured herself into helping a small family business in manufacturing. Her passion for organization, logistics, personal touch, enthusiasm and creativity, made her a key person for what became a very successful business, which she then linked, to the hospitality industry by creating a tour-package of the manufacturing processes. A success story that resulted into the purchasing of their company, allowing her to pursue her Realtor's license and joining Cervera Real Estate, LLC. It was the "boutique real estate" concept, that attracted her with such an excellent fit into the team. "I'm definitely a ‘people' person and have always enjoyed architecture, design, and lifestyles," says Marielos. "It's also helpful that I have a lifelong passion & strong skills for negotiation, analysis and logistics, which is key to almost every real estate deal I've been a part of."
In fact, Marielos recalls one of her most rewarding real estate transactions, as being one, in which client with a $450,000 budget had struggled with two failed contracts before finding their dream home. It went through a bit of a bidding war, but Marielos was still able to get her clients' offer chosen while staying $10,000 under their budget, for nearly double the square footage of the previous failed contracts, and even with an income unit on the property that pays for more than half their mortgage. "That is exactly the kind of transactions that keeps me motivated to do the best for every client, every time," Marielos adds.
Task oriented and proactive, Marielos is a productive team member – and even earned Cervera's Most Improved Agent of the Year in 2015. As a resident of Miami since 2000, she excels at making smart recommendations in many of Miami's top neighborhoods, including South Beach, Miami Beach, South Miami, Coral Gables, Coconut Grove, Midtown, Brickell, the Biscayne corridor, and beyond. In addition to her in-depth market knowledge, Marielos also brings the benefits of her certification as a Pricing Strategy Advisor, and her accreditation as a Buyer's Representative.
The youngest out of four – Marielos was raised with strong values, and a positive attitude based in love, hard work and respect for all others. As such, it's not surprising that she volunteers for numerous organizations, involving animal welfare, environmental issues and autism. In her free time, Marielos enjoys painting and sketching, dancing, running, gardening, antiques, music, and spending time with her rescued dogs.
