Miami's dining scene doesn't stop, and this latest crop of openings proves the city's appetite for bold concepts and global flavors is stronger than ever.
GRAND PUBLIC KITCHEN & BAR
One of Coconut Grove’s most anticipated new restaurant openings, Grand Public Kitchen + Bar has transformed a 7,400-square-foot space at CocoWalk into a vibrant all-day dining destination. Created by hospitality veterans Matthew Tsoumaris and Ryan Bassels, the restaurant offers a modern take on American cuisine infused with Mediterranean and coastal flavors. The menu features everything from tuna tataki and Mediterranean mezze to fresh branzino and truffle mushroom flatbreads, making it a versatile spot for lunch, dinner, and everything in between.
CHINA GRILL
The return of China Grill is one of the most talked-about comebacks of the season. After years away from South Beach, the iconic Chinese restaurant has found a sleek new home inside Bal Harbour Shops, taking over the former Le Zoo space. Expect dim sum, fried rice, and inventive larger plates like tuna au poivre and a veal chop "milanasia" that blends Italian technique with Asian sensibility.
MADREMOUTH
In the Design District, Madremouth is making a quiet but serious statement. A takeout-only Peruvian sandwich concept from the Atomica team, it operates as a ghost kitchen out of MIA Market — but don't let the format fool you. Chicharrón, lomo, and fried chicken sandwiches built with the same precision that made Atomica a standout are absolutely worth seeking out.
TACOS ATARANTADOS
Brickell gains a new go-to with Tacos Atarantados, the Wynwood favorite that has crossed the bridge with its cachetadas and trompo de puerco intact. It brings the same energy and Latin karaoke-adjacent spirit that made the original a neighborhood staple to one of Miami's most high-traffic dining corridors.
UPPER EASTSIDE HANGOUT
On the Upper East Side, Upper Eastside Hangout has transformed the beloved Anderson space into something entirely its own — part bar, part food hall, part neighborhood living room. With vendors like Cheeseburger Baby, Tacomiendo, and a hand-pulled noodle bar under one roof, plus movie screenings and World Cup watch parties, it's become the city's most relaxed and versatile new gathering spot.
